A Provider is the model backend MinTranslate sends your translation requests to.
MinTranslate supports:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic (Claude)
- Google Gemini
- Ollama (local)
How to choose
Use this as a quick mental model:
- Want local-first and no API key: choose Ollama
- Want fast setup with a cloud model: choose OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini
- Want to compare outputs: add multiple providers and switch the default

All provider settings are stored in your browser (localStorage). You can add multiple providers and set one as the default.
